Have you ever opened an in-game case which required a "real money" key? (CSGO, , TF2 etc.)

It's pretty much gambling, and hence the appeal of winning big often tempts us. Have you ever opened an in-game case which required you to buy a key?

Did you win big? Or like most of us immediately regret your decision?

I opened a CSGO case once, and that one time was enough for me to come to my senses and not do it again (i.e. the item's value was about 1% of the amount I had spent to open the case).

Spent smallish amounts of money on TF2 weapons. Maybe like 300zar total. Direct purchases though on market.

Weird thing is that stuff held it's value pretty well...can probably re-sell it now without significant loss

Not interested in the key system.

Saw an analysis somewhere comparing this to gambling. It's literally a perfect copy designed to copy the addictiveness and milk people for the max.

I have opened 2 or 3 CS go cases and then I was like nope never again, I do however have a monthly subscription to Neverwinter which is all I have been playing the last few months and get to open 1 lock box a day.
