HD Remakes, please bring them on!

With the latest news on the remake of Abe's Oddysee what other games would you love to see remade/ported in HD.

Top of my list would have to be Resident Evil and the original Silent Hill Titles!

And not to forget Jax and Daxter and Crash Bandicoot!!

Although there are rumours of a remake in progress.

Then I would want Jak and Daxter and Syphon Filter.....would be cool to tazer someone into flames in HD

I agree, but then at least do a descent job of it!

The problem is that they dont make games like they used to...
Compare the latest Resident Evil with the original ones... was WAY more fun!!

And they dont make tv shows like they use to, or cars, or movies, or music or anything. Its called Nostalgia. If people spent less time retracing the steps of the industries founders and instead focus on building upon the foundations of those founders we wouldn't have this stagnation problem. But know everyone wants something thats like CoD, Halo, WoW, PoP and when its a little different all of a sudden it sucks.

Those titles we all hold in our nostalgic memories can never be remade the same as they where. The remake inevitably incorporates current trends into the classic title.

The odd remake is fine but this continual drive to remake everything that came before is anything but bad for this medium.
 
Remaking everything and anything is just a cheap way for developers to cash in on this new craze. Something like the the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus collection is worth while IMO, especially considering I missed ICO. It's really the only HD remake I'm looking forward to.
 
I actually liked the last two Resident Evils a lot.

As for an HD remake? Man I would love to play Silent Hill 2 with today's graphics. Hmmmm.
 
I don't know if I want remakes to be honest, a lot of the times the games have a more special spot in my heart as they were. Being remade doesn't always make them as good as they were. We'd also not need all this remake malarkey if the freaking consoles truly were backwards compatible. Also I don't see a Resident Evil remake as they did it already for the Gamecube and it was beautiful
