I think the guy who caused the crash ditched his bike when he saw the accident coming.

People riding bikes have a death wish IMO.

Aw, I kinda really want a Versys. Was trying to swap one for a horsebox but the guy found a better horsebox than mine :( lol. Oh well. Thanks for the dedication to0k! makes me feel awefully special ^^

The accident itself doesn't look to be too bad for either rider. Bikes were going <50km/h (unless it was 50Mph. In which case... RIP :\) and it was one small flip over and a slide. Sliding is the best type of accident. No compression fractures (Like my spine from that one cow (the human (though barely) kind) wacking into me) or impact breaks (like my leg with the Ti rod in it now from that guy in the bakkie hitting me). You just left with some nice scrapes, best experienced in a hot shower, and a good story.

On review, He may have broken a rib or two. But unless he did something stupid while flying, instead of taking the fetal position as nature intended, he should be fine :) I have seen some horrific accidents. Or pictures of them. :O this one picture had a bike completely inside a car. with just the tail piece sticking out. I'll try find the pic if I can :)
 
Yeah but still, I think falling off a bike at any speed must hurt. There's nothing around you to protect you when you fall.
 
In that video, you actually see the rider in front of the bike, sliding on his back and wearing a riding suit... he probably just got up and said "My pa gaan my doodmaak"....

You'd think so, but as one who has had a reasonable amount of accidents, On a good slide, you will get up and check your bikes damage, go get new jeans and hop back on a bike :) its when a car hits you that is when the shit hits the fan (broken bones etc.)
 
I won't ever ride a bike.

I worked as a barman for few months. I met 2 okes that had bike injuries. One was a kid who lost some fingers, the other was an older man whose one arm was paralyzed and all shrivilled (sp) up.

After seeing that I was like... hummm no!
