Heading back to WoW

Hello, Molo, Sawubona and wazzup.

Dentar and I are headed back into WoW as a modicum of entertainment, at least until Old Republic comes along. We've ordered Wrath and Cata (I have every intention of going Wogren or whatever it's called).

Any MyG regs have an Ally/Horde guild running around? Preferably of the casual persuasion.

What servers are you located on, what's the size of your guild, its name, details, details!

Thanks :)

I'm still playing but there isn't a SA guild on my realm. Just a couple of drifters there.

Check out the WoW forums on MyBB. There is a SA guilds thread there if you are looking to join one.

If you want to discuss WoW, then the MyBB forums are more active about it. If you want to talk about other MMO's, then it's better here. At least in my experience.

Gotcha. In hindsight, I guess I was hoping that some of the MyG regulars were still playing.

For some nutty reason I find myself backtracking to WoW when boredom strikes and April is a long month of nothing new to play :D

I'm actually getting a bit bored with WoW, but I'm not quitting yet. Mostly doing TB dailies and started on the Argent dailies. The most interesting thing that happened to me was last week when I forgot my cooking hat on while fighting Problim and couldn't figure out why I was receiving so much damage. Would have been much worse if I had my fishing gear on.

lol :D

I tend to get bored of WoW pretty quickly as well which is why I don't intend to solidly torture myself with it. As I said, just looking for something to do every so often when there's not much else to do.

Oh well, first thing's first... Must get my DSL back up >.<'

Idiot techie taking forever to get his ass over here. I've been without my DSL for 48-hours and 25-minutes. GOING NUTS.

I just started playing WoW again after 6 months off it
Quite fun but already starting to get bored again... GW2 plz

I still play, but I've always played Horde so I can't really help out here. Twilight's Hammer Horde still has a LOT of active saffers.

Hi Lyconthrope,

We are looking for new members for our Horde Guild, Die Rekkies, if your interested. We are on the Vashj realm and we are nearly a lvl 2 guild. More than welcome to join and you can /w Sunmover or Kaess or look under the guilds recruitment UI.

Cheerz!....oh and for the Horde!

Thanks for the offer but I found my way around :)

Also, no longer playing. I go through phases where WoW seems like a good idea, play heavily for a few weeks and then wonder what the point was :p

Just came off a few months holiday off WoW as well, now I am hell bent on arena's, pretty much the only thing that still keeps me interested in the game. Anyone else here from Talnivarr EU?

we headed off to laughing skull where i joined a pretty big sa guild... then i had a huuuuuge fallout with one of the other members (loving the drama llama) and so we started our own guild. :) 3 of us, all in the same house.

i must say, if you're returning to wow after an abscence and planning to start a new char, its probably better to go to a well populated server, and join one of the bigger guilds to get all the xp bonuses etc for guild levels.

if you have many high level chars and want to farm heirlooms then stay on the same server.

i must say i am also bored a bit, having moved 3 of my 80s to 85 and played a worgen to mid 20s... what really got to me was the cost involved in upskilling the professions - sheesh!

also, the new dungeons were like, ok, i played them all 5 times and now i'm pretty much done - i didn't go for the big end-game content because PUGraids are fail :P

i did do some pvp's but found the queues on laughing skull too painful.

Having played WoW consistently for 6 years now i can say that the game isn't what it used to be, it gets boring extremely fast and i don't find myself doing random stuff for hours a day like i used to. Log on for the raids, log off. I guess the new content will bring some fun again, but for how long i wonder..

I an attempt to quit WoW completely I deleted all my chars last year. When the expansion came out I played again for 2 months, and leveled a new char to 71, trying to level slowly to see all the new content. Which was fun. But then the feeling described by Lycanthrope ^ set in and I quit again. Hoping some new MMO comes my way before I start falling for WoW again...

WoW seems to be the fall back for many people. It seems to be at the centre of the MMO timesink black hole.
