HEADPHONE Suggestions

Hi there guys, so just a quick question from my side.

I need to buy new headphones as I lost the stupid dongle for my ps3 wireless headphones.

What can you guys recommend?

Things I am looking for:

1) It HAS to be wireless

2) It MUST fit over my ears!

3) Maximum of about R1600 I'd say.

I would prefer something that would not have a small dongle that can be easily lost.

ps. for those who saw my graphics card thread that turned into a build thread, i did not give up on that but got a ps4 today with the FNB deal which worked out VERY cheap and that is why I am rather looking for headphones for the time being.
 
I think we need to create a headphone suggestion sticky thread.

Friend of mine recently got a bluetooth headset for his PS3. Would that be an option for you? Or will you be using it on your PC when it's built?
 
If it will work on the ps3 and 4 and without a small stupid dongle then definately!

Oh and as long as it supports in game chat... need it to communicate while playing borderlands and battlefield and and and

I did not have time to browse the forum, been working non stop for two weaks, no weekends (or overtime)
 
I would support get a headphone thread stickied. Hopefully I'll be looking at it soonish for advice in getting some new cans.
 
You can look at the Sennheiser RS120 II headphones. Going for R1399 at Takealot!

EDIT: Only read now that you need in-game chat, so these won't do. I'll just leave the recommendation here for someone else then.
 
Ok so here's the deal with the RS120's. I've had mine for about 2 years. The sound is good. The range on the wireless is fantastic, but here's the catch. It uses radio waves for the wireless. This means that when you bring your cellphone near it: "ti-tirritit-tirritit bbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz". yeah. It's annoying as hell.

Another issue is that if there's no sound coming from the sender for about 5 min, it automatically switches off and you'll get loud static in your ears.

That said. It is the best wireless headphones I was able to find for your price range, everything else is over R 2000.

Ah sounds pretty good.

At the moment I am waiting for the new Tritton Kunai wireless headphones to come out. They look great.

The new PS4 headphones look great as well.

Will wait for the local release and a few release though.
 
I used to hear a great headphone for gaming. I remembered one mobile game developer, Gameloft, recommending that headphone. But i forgot its name. I think it's also the same one recommended by Marques Brownlee from YouTube Channel.
