Headphones or speakers?

Anything after 7pm is usually headphones time for me.

If I'm playing BF2 it's always headphones due to all the shooting/exploding but also for the mic-being-glued-to-the-headset part.

I run simple onboard sound so nothing impressive to start with - headphones just make it sound a bit clearer too.

It's interesting - I wonder how many people have really high-end sound in their gaming rigs and how many (like me n voicy) just make do with the onboard - which is honestly pretty good these days.

I prefer speakers, rarely uses Headphones at home :)

When going to lans, I use my nice XFX headphones (obviously - we all hate players with their speakers trying to take over) :p

Much prefer headphones as they block any distrubances around you... whereas if you have speakers you also get that surround 5.1 dolby digital hehe.... then its like being in a cinema lol... :p

headphones when i need to use a mic ... also during lans ... there is no different between my speakers and headset tho, headset is 5.1 and speakers is 4.1

Speakers First. Only headphones if someone is sleeping nearby or something and I don't want to wake them. 9 out of 10 times I'll use speakers though.

Yeah onboard sound FTW! I hate playing with headphones. I sport a lovely 5.1 speaker setup that I am fortunate enough to boom as loud as I want whenever I want :D

I don't even own speakers for my pc. I exclusively use headphones. I used to have a 5.1 surround sound setup a couple of years back but it all just seemed rather pointless to me. Hence I use headphones, get good quality sound and I don't bother anyone.

Yip...I play games with headphones(Skull candy low rider) and If I wanna listen to music I use speakers(Sony Bravia Hd audio)
