Hearthstone Thread

I have finally crafted everything I need for the Shaman deck. I De idea to lose one Drake and add Hogger, the extra taunts come in really handy.

I really think Hoggar is such an underrated legendary card... I wish i had one!

Was reading on the Hearthstone forum and the guys there are saying Alexstrasza is the most OP card... IT was the first legendary I got and I still dont really rate it... they saying its OP because it basically can deal 15 damage to an undamaged hero in one shot... I view it more as a potential life saver, The chances of my opponent being on 30 HP by turn 9 are Highly unlikely... And if he is still on 30 chances are good il be nearly dead and could benefit more from the HP :wtf:

With that and Pyroblast doing 10 damage you can take the opponent down to 5 in 2 turns so it is OP with a Mage :D and Mages can stall easily to round 10 and then all you need is a fireball with 6 damage to finish him off and thats not counting minion damage.

Had an awesome arena run yesterday. Rogue buffed up his assassin(iirc) to 15/x and emoted sorry. I emoted sorry and Shadow Word - Death that sucker. I laughed, he conceded. We had a good time.

Also scored Leeroy Jenkins at the end of that run.

Anyone else enjoy Nax? I sure as hell am! Jumped on last night an got DC when the update became available, so downloaded it, and had an uninterrupted play through of the "story" mode, then wanted to try out the next thing and started getting hectic DC's... Think i was lucky to get on early and then the servers just got flooded... Was great fun though! I really like the way they have done it!

I haven't played Hearthstone in a while. Will play it again when I finish Skyrim... which will probably be at the end of the year.

Seriously no one else still playing hearthstone? The Expansion is pretty awesome! And the 30 new cards have really mixed up the meta!

The Heroic challenges are really a nice challenge! And the Class specific challenges are loads of fun!

I'm playing. Mostly trying to collect enough gold for the next quarter, whatever it's called. I haven't needed to pay any actual money for any of them so far :D

I was doing the same thing... Had a bit over 1000 gold when they launched Nax, so after the first wing was free I kept going, then i thought about the value of buying the 4 wings, vs the gold to buy packs... And the packs worked out to be a more lucrative senario... Considering I haven't bought packs, except one in the beta to get the legendary they offered for "testing" the pay system, I ended up paying for nax and getting packs with the gold...

I've only started playing Hearthstone this past weekend. This game did not go down well...

Ha ha... I feel your pain bud... Its a pretty gimmicky priest trick because you really need things to work in your favour to make it happen, I mean the chances of drawing the 3 cards you need, and holding them till you have a creature on the board that can attack and has more HP than 6 or 7 is pretty rare... But Iv had it happen to me too... Now when ever a priest plays a high health minion i make sure i at least get it down to 4hp so at best its a 16-16 which is still pretty daunting...

But welcome to the Hearth! Its a great game! And i highly recommend the Naxrammas content!

What is that content about? Right now I'm just trying to figure out what cards are good and what aren't.:wtf:

They have created a single player "Campaign" of sorts.
It follows the Naxrammas raid from WoW. You play against bosses that have decks and hero power to closely mimic the raid bosses. It's very fun, very funny and the heroic mode can be challenging.

With each boss kill you unlock cards that can only be gained from the bosses. With each "wing" of the raid cleared you unlock a unqiue class challenge where they give you a deck to try and beat a certain boss. This rewards class specific cards. If you manage to clear all the wings on heroic mode you will also receive a great looking cardback.

Pretty much what Glacier said... Its pretty cool also coz the cards you get for playing NAX are pretty powerful, and will go a long way to helping a beginner out... You will get 30 new cards for completing all of NAX guaranteed...

Yup, also take a look at some of the f2p decks by amaz and trump. They help beginners with limited card pools build decent decks. Once you play more you will get a feeling for why each card is put and and you can start subbing in cards that you find more usefull.

Cant believe there isnt more Hearth HYPE in this thread with the announcement of the expansion!

Goblins VS Gnomes!

120 new cards coming out next month! With a new minion category, the Mech!

28 of the new cards have been revealed so far, here is a pretty in depth look at them all...

I think the rate at which Blizzard is churning out content for this game is incredible! I dont think anyone expected a new expansion this close to Nax, let alone before the end of the year... The new content looks really fun and should spice things up nicely!
