Had some good games tonight.

Changed my Mage deck from mid/high to low/mid type creatures.

Also abusing the minions with "Your spells cost (1) less" & "Your spells deal (1) more"

At one point I was playing low level spell cards for free :D:D:D

Ya bro 8 wins in the arena is impressive... I think my best is 5... Im still to get a legendary card... Anyone got some nice ones?

Ek het nou so donners kwaad geword dat dit is nie eers snaaks was nie :mad:.

I was literally on my last couple HP points, my enemy has 4 strong creatures and I got zilch.

Then by a stroke of luck or divine intervention I get the Pyroblast spell that deals 10 damage (the exact amount of HP that my opponent has).

Just as I was about to click on his hero, my internet disconnects and I lose thhe game automatically.

Then went on to lose the next 4 games in a row :(

Going to take a break from it for today otherwise I might just start hurting my PC.

Yep i totally hate the DCs in this game, hopefully they bring in something to help with DCs in the future

exactly :-) If you have never seen this card before, it catches you totally unaware. i have played it on dudes who then get uber panicked and end up wasting mana and doing some funny stuff :D

Worst bit is if they never seen it they gona spend at least 5 seconds trying to figure out what the card does first! Ha ha! :D

well its only my 2nd Arena i'm trying now. first one I got raped 0-3, 2nd run and i'm now 1-1, will possibly try and play a few games again tonight. When selecting my deck for the arena I really try hard to pick a proper deck, watching some youtube videos and streams really help with choices ect. Also playing quite a bit of ranked games, manage to get to level 21 so far.

i have learned 2 things from my Arena expeditions. Firstly, you need to have a decent number of minions with TAUNT. it really helps to force your opponent to change their strategy and not just run wild. Secondly, you need at least a few "giant killers" like POLYMORPH, ASSASSINATE, etc. (bonus point : if you can get some AoE spells in, that helps too)

Not bad advice at all... The thing that bothers me about the Arena, and I know its fair the way it is, but you cant go with like a Murlock deck... Because you select 1 Murlock, and that may be the only one you get to pick... To me the arena is not really "hero" dependent, and you need to try get a game plan going while making your picks, its actually pretty strategic having to remember what cards you want to use to combo with etc...

The best you can do in Arena is get to know your cards, well ALL of the cards, then make sure the you pick the best card of the 3, watching streams really helps you learn what the other people think of certain cards, i know there's a website somewhere where they rate all the cards, can't remember what the name is, but will see if I can find it, that should help with picking a deck for Arenas
 
Ya but that's the big mistake people make in my opinion, because selecting the best of the 3 doesnt mean you will end up with a good deck... you need to sometimes refrain from going for the better card, in favour of a card that suits the deck....
 
True... but there's certain cards I wont pick at all in a deck, all depends on what kind of deck you have after you have selected about 20 cards, if its a mid-late game, make sure to pick some cards for defense early game ect.. its difficult. I tend to pick strongest cards till about 20/30, then the last 10 I review what I have and what I might need and then toss in whateva I get

spot on, totally agree. there may be some cards you could choose later that are killer in a particular context, but based on the previous cards you have already selected you just know they not going to synergise
