Yes the best MMORPGFPS is back.
The game played like a charm when you think from SA we have a 200-400 latency and the game still was playable.

Ok the same one is not back but it's under a new banner and is now free to play.
Hellgate Global

It still has most of the same starting maps but gets progressively different with new environments, guns, monsters and boss spawns.

The only thing I don't like is that the free version I downloaded only has DX9 which looks way crappier than when I played the old game in DX10.

Perhaps they are still working on it or just reserve it for when you pay a micro transaction for better graphics?

Resurrection build is a pale imitation of the original. Rather give it a skip...

I'll give it a try, but I don't see myself pouring months of my life into it. Still should be fun for a while.
 
One thing the Chinese did with the game is make all characters look like anime characters. Not sure if I like or dislike it...
 
OMG , I actually bought this ..
And played it until the servers died.
I remember seeing the game for sale at CNA thinking someone is going to get a nasty surprise when they get home ..

I guess its good that its back online but now I wonder If it would play if I install my copy tonight ?

Nope you need the f2p resurrection build. your disc is useless.
 
Hmmmm pity they couldn't just resurrect the original. But nevertheless I think I'm giving this one a miss in any case :-P...
