Hellgate: London

All in all, Hellgate London could have been worse, but is still ultimately a wasted effort. While the game has potential, it simply fails to deliver the requisite depth, and therefore it joins the hoards of other easily passable games, destined for clearance sale near you.

When clicking on the author of this review (Angelo Ryan) it takes you to Nic's page currently. I don't know if you guys are aware of this.

I enjoyed the review. It's a game that I always wanted to play but when it came out the reviews changed my mind. It just shows that hype shouldn't be the main reason to buy a game.

and ****ed

and not supported any more.

and no servers for the west.

Hellgate: London, R.I.P.

actually it just had one problem; it was released before it was ready. Period. I played it siff on hardcore elite and elite, that was anyways the only way to truly experience hg:l with other people online. Stonehenge was the best; nothing like a run through it and killing of main vain at end.

patch 2.0 was taken from us by bill roper's inability to properly manage the IP- now its in limbo and most properly won't see the west again after hanbitsoft has it and only went with the korea route despite the rebirth rumors for the west....

I played it when it just came out.
Installed, played 2 minutes, uninstalled, improved my solitaire skillz.

I absolutly hate this game with all my heart and soul!!
A solid 2/10!!

because why?

There was a great deal of hype surrounding it - what went wrong?

semi off topic: Similar hype surrounded Assassin's Creed. How was that in comparison?

about the same hey, but I think more ppl played AC than they played Hellgate.

AC is a good game, its just uber repetitive.

That's the problem...there was such a huge hype and then when I got the game I almost went blind from all the bugs..it's just way to buggy!!
Then ofcourse there's the little matter that I actually enjoyed the Demo more than the game..That should tell you something!!

It was just crap..to put it plain and simple!!

From what I saw from the trailers I thought it was interesting but when I played the demo I was not impressed.

One should _NEVER_ mix swords with guns in a game.

Unless the guns are imperial blasters and the swords are lightsabers. Fable 2 dissappointed me in that regard. I miss the epic bows and proper looking katanas from Fable 1

I havn't even played Fable 2...So you reckon it wasn't as good as number 1?

HG: London ... what a kak game.

Big hype, expected maybe to much since it was was from the guys who worked on Diablo ... but yeah.

Number two is very elaborate... I just find #1 was more to the point. The clothing styles, weapon art was also more hardcore/ awesome looking. Fable 2's ones try to look too authentic and end up looking a bit homosekzhul.
