Help choosing a cherry mx switch

Hi im thinking about getting a mechanical keyboard but having a hard time choosing between the red and blue switch i mostly just play FPS games and was thinking about getting this keyboard http://www.cmstorm.com/en/products/keyboards/Trigger/ Thanks

Most you getting out of a mechanical keyboard is the "click" when you press keys. Other than that, it won't make your game better. I like to type with mechanical keyboards because I can feel when I have pressed a key and I get far less mistypes as opposed to a normal one.

I prefer a blue or white switch. It is a very personal thing though. You can get sites with very detailed breakdowns of the switches. The cm pro is the best value in this country for my money.

I've wanted one of these for a while now, but each time I just put the money towards other pieces of hardware instead. :/

I can recommend the Trigger based on the solid build quality and experience I've had with the Quickfire Pro. Also, for anyone else interested:

Nice chart, according to that i'll be looking at brown or blue switches :)

I'm just typing so I can test out my new G510 keyboard. Gonna take a bit of getting used to the feel of it. A new keyboard is like a new pair of shoes. It's not quite mechanical but it's about the nicest keyboard experience you can get otherwise. The keys have quite a strong click response, but you can tell with the travel it's not smooth like a mech keyboard; there's some bounce there which is due to the rubberised keys. My friend got a K90 and I inherited this.

I have only ever tried blue switches (I have the Quickfire TK) and went with those because I thought I would go for the 'full' experience of mechanical and the blues it seems give the most on the spectrum as it were.
