Help DuncanBell buy an Xbox :D.

Oooh one last question.

Once I get a harddrive, can i connect to XBL and buy arcade games like castle crashers, or duke3d and so on? I see on mspoints.co.za you can buy vouchers...

Awesome!!!!

So basically i just have to plug a network cable from my router into my xbox and i should have internet?

Thanks Gradius you've helped big time!

And you need to register and all that.. but that's small details you need to do by yourself. Create an Avatar etc :)

Pretty much. You might need to forward a few ports, but it's simple enough. And once you're on the LIVE marketplace, you'll realise why even considering an Xbox with no HDD was ridiculous. :P

Hahaha yeah i know what you saying, but i managed to find a 20gig HDD for i reasonable price :D.

What changed my mind was Castle Crashers, and Turtles in Time: Reshelled :D

Well you could always buy a xbox and just connect your own hard drive to it ;) way cheaper and way more possibilities...

My understandin is there are some limitations to connecting one's own HDD onto the X360.. Could be mistaken on that though :)

You're right Gradius, it involves opening up the Xbox and diddling around ....... in the process voiding your warranty and killing your Xbox from any Live! activity.

I still play on Live, still have my warranty plus my own hard drive connected to it. Not sure how my dad did it but he found a way....:)

I think it only becomes void when you mess with the xbox itself, but i think my dad applied something to the hard drive instead. We took it in about 4 months ago to repair a faulty start button and the experts found no problem with what we did.(But i dont recommend telling them that you did change something:D)

I still buy my games so i dont see a problem with adding a little more space for my enjoyment.

Thats rather insteresting. What about an external HDD? Can you connect those to an Xbox and use that?

Oh hectic. Ok this springs another question :), if I download arcade games onto my external HDD, can I take it to a friend's house and play the games on thier xbox?

Or does that fall under the piracy section?

Only thing u can do with the external drive is put movies/music on it and watch it that way.
