Was made so I can ask the people here on advice on finding a notebook.
Im looking for a notebook that will be able to play CSS, Warcraft, and CoD4
The last one is a tall order but Im willing to give it a shot.
I was looking around the web and I saw a few posts indicating if you want to play games like CoD4 you will need a dedicated/interlaced/GPU thingy by either Ati or Nvidia not a intel made one.
Can anyone of the forumites help with some names of notebooks?
I have been looking at dell's XPS notebook and alienware ones, any other that you might know of?
I just wanna know the prices of the notebooks so I can workout a budget.
 
Dude it would be better if you give me a budget to work with, as in how much would you like to spend?
Then i'll be able to help you.

I have a Dell XPS 15" notebook and its quite cool! But they are'nt cheap hey!

I dont want to spend that much monies on a notebppk.
Any news yet joker?
With the rand so stong I might get a notebook much cheaper.
 
Buying 1 from the states might not be such a bad idea dude, ive been checking around and im struggling to find good gaming laptops for less than R15 000.

Do you know how much shipping costs might be.
Its along shot but doesnt hurt to ask.
Also can you name some names so I can go check it out.
Been looking myself but not finding alot.
 
Im not sure mate, i'd be lying if I told you!!
If i was in your positions i'd post a wanted ad on Mybroadband or prophecy classifieds and tell them that your looking for a good gaming laptop for around R12 000 and check what they come up with.

Try phoning the customer service. I got my XPS from the states last year and it cost me 8k with the exchange rate. Here the same laptop would have cost me 20k. I also did not pay any shipping as i had a friend who was coming to SA for visit and they brought it as handluggage...
