Thanks guys, however before I found your answer I installed Kasperky's TDss Killer app and it seems to have cleaned it up

However im considering doing a factory reset on my laptop (to start fresh) tell me could the recovery portion of my HDD also be infected ? In other words I dont wanna reset and than boooom same problem all over again, could the factory reset settings be affected by this virus ?

If you format your HDD you should be fine. As long as you don't copy the along with some of your backups it should be a problem. Good luck dude!

my laptop comes with factory restore in a hidden portion of the HDD, so im not formatting by doing a factory reset

You can run a factory restore from a hidden partition.

Go to the manufacturers website (or check the manual) and find out what the key combination is when the lappy is booting up.

From there you can restore it.

ALSO - Please make recovery DVD's from within Windows after the restore. You won't believe how many customers I've had that don't do this and when the hard drive fails, they come back to us. It's a mission getting a specific model of laptop recovery media.

The onus is on you.
