[Help needed] 2 Connections 1 Router

I am looking to purchase prepaid DSL to take advantage of faster speeds for streaming video, the only problem I am facing at the moment is creating a new connection.

I have a Billion BiPAC 7300W and currently have one connection setup (Mweb) I would like to create another connection (Axxess/WebAfrica) but without having to type my user details into the router all the time I would just like to add them once and have it as a second connection for when I need it.

At the moment when I attempt to create a new connection it tells me that it is only possible in Bridge Mode (my router is currently in PPPoE, would I have to switch it to bridge mode in order to create another connection?

Is this at all possible to do?

Yep, then you have two "dial-up" accounts and your router needs to be in bridged mode. To have other machines on the same network use this connection then though, you would need to set them up to gateway via this PC.

So... perfect for one PC, shitty if more than one needs to access the interwebs.

The SOHO Billions don't offer that function unfortunately. You'll have to go bridge and do the dial-ups from Windows.

But it sounds like he's only going to use the second connection to stream videos.. so he should be the only one using the second connection anyways. Unless he's planning on doing what you suggested and setup so that other PCs on the same network can also access the prepaid account data.

If not, just creating a PPPoE connection in windows is sufficient. That's how my current setup works at home.

Thanks all for the help! I will look into the PPPoE option in windows.

*Edit*
Okay now I am more confused ;_;

If I create a PPPoE dial up connection on my PC will I dial out of Mweb (via) the router and then into ISP X? Also will everyone else connected to the router be able to use ISP X or Mweb? Or will they be "locked out"?

Thanks it was.

I got it all sorted:
Logged into Router
Set router to PPPoE with passthrough
Created a Connection with Login Details
Waited a few minutes for the router to sync.
Logged in and was good to go. I stream on Afrihost (amazingly fast) and everyone else enjoys Mweb.

thanks once again everyone!
