Is it possible to play all pc games with a xbox 360 controller? And, if not, can someone please help me to make my Grand Theft Auto San Andreas work.

Sure is but you need the wireless adaptor for it . I got mine at BT but thing is only most of the newer titles support it

Sent from my Desire HD using MyGaming Android App

You probably could, but you'd have to fiddle with your Controllers settings in the control panel.

90% of direct x titles work with the controller, even some old games from the 90's ! Ironically for games like bioshock 2 and quantum of solace (which are games for windows titles without joystick support)you will need a program like joy2key

Can you remember what you payed for it? Most places overcharge them something terrible.

@OP: I know that there is software allowing you to assign actions to 360 controllers if the game does not support it. Just have a google at it. XPadder, for example, will allow you to do this. You won't be able to get rumble in games that don't officially support the controller capabilities though.

That is good, thanks Prophet. I haven't been able to find them for under R300.

EDIT: Can't seem to find it on the site though...

Will this also work for NFS Underground 1? I have downloaded software and I am using my wired controller that I bought for my xbox 360.

Yes it will work for NFS-U(1).

The bigger issue at hand will be getting NFS-U to work PROPERLY on Windows Vista/7...

I have a question that's almost inline with OP

If I use an Xbox 360 controller, will onscreen tuts and key-guides adapt to that as well? Only relevant to newer games obviously. I haven't seen any PC games played with an Xbox 360 controller, so I don't know. Was playing Fable 3 earlier today on the 360 and blacksmithing "hit x now" got me wondering. Need to get all this information so I can choose on what platform I'm getting Skryim.

Yes, It will adapt for newer games. If you play anything that is naturally 360 controller supported (and almost everything is, from Valve games to Fallout New Vagas (and therefore skyrim)). Older games will adapt to the point where it says "press button 2" (PoP Warrior Within) and that can get confusing but I then recommend making a little list of what button does what. But Yes, Skyrim should definately support 360 controllers right out the box.

I was playing Portal 2 splitscreen coop on my pc the other day with a friend and it really made me happy that I didn't spend all the extra cash to play on xbox instead. Just hook it up to the tv, a couple of console commands and we were playing :)
