Here are 5 awesome gaming easter eggs

Those are pretty awesome. I actually found quite a few on Just Cause 2. There was the hatch from LOST and the downed plane too. There was a beached whale, a motorised shark fin, a hot air balloon. Could swear that there was more. Ah well, I'll have to go back and check it out :)

Some interesting easter eggs and few puzzling ones

But I did know the diablo 2 cow level for years

hahah the modern warfare 2 Easter egg was just surprising, had no idea that they would even put that in the game.

Like the lost 1, when I read on internet about it, had to go and look..
pity 1 coulg not go down the hatch!!!
hehe

Yoooooooh wish I didn't uninstall Just Cause 2, wouldve definitely done this... dammit.

Also, Cow Level... \:D/ died many times, one time a guy made a portal in between where a gang cows were standing... the rest is obvious :P

That cow level was epic. As I recall, you got some awesome loot for killing the cow king though.

Here's an interesting easter egg from back in the day. Not in a game, but the egg is a game.

Within the Office Web Components for Excel 2000, they have hidden a driving game called Dev Hunter, which is a spoof of a game called Spy Hunter. I believe the names on the road are the developers of the Office Web Components.

If anyone still has Excel 2000, you can give this a go

  • Under file menu, select 'Save as Web Page'
  • Select 'Publish Sheet' and 'Add Interactivity'
  • Save to some htm page on your drive.
  • Load the htm page with IE. You should have Excel in the middle of the page.
  • Scroll to row 2000, column WC. Select row 2000, and tab so that WC is the active column.
  • Hold down Shift+Crtl+Alt and click the Office logo in the upper-left.
  • If you have DirectX, you will be playing what looks like spy hunter. Use the arrow keys to drive, space to fire, O to drop oil slicks, and when it gets dark, use H for your headlights.
Don't know what language this is, but this is how it looks
