Here's some T&A (and some NFS too)

Behold the new trailer from EA for their upcoming title 'Gratuitous Swimsuit Boobage Fap-Fest'.

Erm, sorry, I meant 'Need for Speed: The Run'.

So it isn't just me that gets that feeling. Let's hope EA proves us wrong. Wel'll probably see what's potting at rAge

Why do I get the feeling this game is going to suck?

They have lost the plot dude. I mean I don't care about woman and their fake boobs on my games. I mean if I wanted to see woman and their fake books I can look at porn.

its not a feeling , Its Inevitable ! all of blackbox's nfs games suck apart from mw which was a fluke imo, so im not even considering to buy this abomination in the making.

Ea Shold just dissolve blackbox and make criterion the lead nfs developer

they are milking(fapping?) their franchises for all they're worth. till they're limp, chafed and unable to perform.:wtf:

Since 2009, it's been two NFS releases per year. Definitely milking it. How many cookie-cutter racing games does the world need!?

The best NFS ever was Most Wanted, the rest have been fails!
Plus these models aren't even that hot...

I don't think all of them have been fails. NFS Underground 2 isn't that bad and NFSHot Pursuit (2010) is pretty awesome

Meh. My hopes weren't high.
I may still check it out on rental or something though.

I think NFS is a huge selling point for EA. Very few other developers can release racing games at the rate they do and get the sales they do. EA also hold a fairly strong monopoly on the sports genre. Although 2K do have some strong titles to compete with, the scene is largely dominated by EA. I mean didn't FIFA outsell PES 25 copies to 1 or something? (I recall reading this).

I think that EA feel in order to maximize profits, they need to push out titles that they can comfortably call "their own." Think about it, didn't Activision attempt to take over the racing scene with Blur? It was a good game, but ultimately it bombed in sales. Activision once said Blur will do for racing games what CoD did for FPS games.

But I think its foray into the scene was just not strong enough. It's just like how BF3, despite doing well, still couldn't penetrate deep enough to take out CoD MW3. EA have that stranglehold on racing games, and people keep buying them, so I don't think they have any reason to stop... Unless Rockstar start giving us a new Midnight Club every year:p

You're missing the point completely. the nfs franchise have some of the best games when developers like slightly mad studios (the people that make shift) and Criterion (who made a brilliant nfs game on their first attempt) work on it ! when blackbox develop nfs games it usually go down in flames, They only made one good game and that was most wanted, the only reason the underground games were successes was because it was capitalizing on the whole fast & furious craze (and people didnt care how crap the gameplay was). Blacbox has never made a critically acclaimed nfs game and their NEVER WILL. before blackbox came into the fold ea canada was the lead developer until porsche unleashed and all of those games were successes. blackbox sucks thats the reality and people have to start realising that.

Oh I definitely agree with that. Sorry, I didn't realise we were talking about developers. Black Box have churned out rubbish. I mean Undercover was an absolute disgrace in my opinion. I also share your opinion on the underground series. The Need for Speed's developed prior to Black Box, as well as Criterion's Hot Pursuit was the way NFS was meant to be played. EA were on the right path when they gave us Hot Pursuit last year. That game took out all the unnecessary crap, like mediocre story, unnecessary customization, etc. and simply gave us a great game. A story with a racing game is great if it's executed correctly, but if you're going to stick in something lame and boring then unfortunately you're opening yourself up to bad reviews.

Critics typically don't judge what's not there, and HP, a story was not, so they focused on what mattered, the game. According to what I've read thus far, the story in The Run seems really lame, I just pray that the gameplay is good, because that's the only reason I'm getting it.
