Heroes of Newerth needs more local servers!

Ok, so we have somewhere between 4 and 6 local server slots for Heroes of Newerth, thanks to iGame.

To which I say : thanks iGame, but it isn't enough.

There is never a server available for more than a minute, on average. If you aren't camping the server lists and waiting for someone on your buddy list to drop from a game, so that you can guess when the slot will become available again, chances of you hosting a local game are extremely slim indeed.

I know that iGame was originally supposed to host 16 slots. What happened to this?

And where are IS and SGS? Aren't they also planning to host HoN servers? And if not, why not?

It would be nice, for example, to host 3v3 games without feeling guilty about essentially locking 4 other people out of a HoN game for 40+ minutes. It would be nice to organise clan matches without having to kick a ton of people who join because they're trying to join the 1 local game that is up on the game list. It would be nice to play the kind of game you want to play at any time, without having to hope that the person who hosts on the server slot chose the game mode you like.

I know there's lots of people that feel similarly. I've seen the frequent rants from other South African HoN players.
 
I do camp the games and myself and my friends are quite proficient at getting a server, getting everyone in that's supposed to be in, etc. etc. In fact, we've gotten it down to a fine art.

HOWEVER, that doesn't change the fact that we still need more servers. :p

I'd rather I didn't have to do it to get a game, too.

But to be fair, the game starts, it's AP, I don't kick people or make spots when the last oke to join goes, "spot plz", and it's usually just me and 2 friends with me. I don't really think your animosity is justified.
 
Ya. I agree, we do need more servers. I know SGS would host, they host everything. But i dont think they want to go into all the trouble doing so.
 
A lot of sgs servers are standing empty they could just take some of those servers offline permanently and implement some HON servers instead.
Like savage server dam was I amped to play that just to see that at most 4 players where playing and as soon as I joined 3 of them left...
