Remember Minesweeper?

Hexcells Infinite is supposed to be a more logical version of that.

This is basically the first level.

But I disagree with the logical bit. There is still some chance. As you can see in the next screenshot I made two mistakes trying to get the hexcells around the middle revealed.

And the mechanics get more complicated as you progress.

I got this game for R6 during the steam winter sale. It was supposed to be a more logical version of minesweeper but there is still some chance involved in choosing the right hexcell.

Does anyone remember playing minesweeper? I remember trying to figure it out when I was very young but I never got very far.

That's interesting. It's not something I can see myself playing however. I had an ex many years back who loved playing Minesweeper. She was an expert and did it crazy quick.

I liked Hexcells. Bought a version of it that only has a few levels, was only a dollar or two. It's really fun, I enjoy games like this. I actually wish it's available on Android as I've needed a game to supplement my Sudoku addiction.

I took the time once to learn how Minesweeper worked and once you get the hang of it it's fairly easy - except for the Expert level where it does land up being a game of chance - I think I only finished the Expert level 3 or 4 times. After playing it for a bit you start to recognise the patterns on sight and so know where to click to avoid the mines.

I haven't played it in ages though. Will give Hexcells a look, I'm sure I'd enjoy it.
