High Ping

Im just wondering, Is anyone experiencing high ping from 7pm till about 11/12 pm. Playing at 175ping during day, EU servers and at night it goes up to 500-900 ping. Started after cable repairs. Only thing I can think of is 2 much traffic. But why would it be a issue now when it wasn't before.
Im with Mweb, uncapped shaped account. Should prolly quit smoking so i can pay for shaped instead.
 
Well since the SAT3 repairs started international has been messed up on Mweb, can't play anything int without massive lag and disconnects. I haven't tried since the weekend though, so not sure if it's fixed yet.
 
No its not, 12:06 and my lowerping still reads between 600 and 1100 before ive even logged world of warcraft.
weird thing is that it reads 175 during the day.
 
Best would be to contact mweb directly, their technical support staff are legends. I'm with mweb, experienced some high lag during the cable break, everything returned to normal a couple of days ago so as I say contact them, have a tracert and a speedtest ready for them, they will most likely want it.
 


thats my ping test to the france server. Ping seems pretty much similar to what i get when im playing online. Might run another test tonight to see if there is any difference as my lag usually starts at about 18:00/19:00
 
Im also on Mweb 4Mb uncapped since the start of the month, have been quite unhappy with international pings, Guild Wars is now 600+ms, and Heroes of Newerth EU servers 350+ so its fkn unplayable. I am quite upset about the quality of international pings, was like W#$TF did I get this $h!T, after having been told by other people it would be fine to play international. Glad to know its not a usual problem as you stated that it wasnt there always. Maybe they are doing some extra shaping in the evenings now?
 
Well I called them y/day and requested to upgrade my line and also go unshaped. See if that helps:/ But need to wait "10-15 days for it to take effect"
 
I doubt it, moved to cheaper area in Rustenburg, and not alot of people really have ADSL there that I know of. Why does my Webafrica shaped account give me 250-450ms to Guild Wars servers while Mweb gives me 500+, congestion??
