Thanks Ill give a shot ,
Im just doing this out of pure curiosity .
No problem! ADSL still the best for any online gaming though, wireless is just too unreliable by it's nature.

Ok so I tested it , while 3G is not Ideal it did work ,
Using the program Djinn sugested I found that I was connecting with HSDPA
I switched of my wireless router ,and my wifi network and the ping dropped from 250 to between 100 and 130 which isnt to bad , I even managed to kill Solitude more than a few times last night.
Update more later
I did alot of reading on this subject. overall wireless and 3G connections is not good at all for online FPS. it works better with RPG's but it still sucks when you do PVP (almost the same thing as deathmatch). Rather get a fixed line. Also a couple of people told me I burst works ok...but its your choice.
So maybe going iBurst isn't such a bad idea? It'll be cheaper than what I'm paying at the moment, tbh - and Vodacom doesn't seem to be showing any inclination to drop their prices![]()
GPRS / 3G / iBurst = Packet Switched data transfer = high transfer rates but with higher latency. It's really that simply. It's how it works. There's no discussion. If you want lower latencies, move to ADSL. End.
I have dsl and the 3g ,I have tested the 3g and the results arnt too bad If you are able to get 3g reception where you are id say 3g is the way.
