Review the Top Ten Computer Monitors for PC and Xbox Gamers in 2012
As a writer and gamer I spend more time than I want to admit sitting in front of my computer monitor. For me the overall size, responsiveness, and feel of the monitor are crucial to not only gaming well, but being able to avoid side effects like headaches, eye strain, and eye fatigue that come from excessive computer usage. In this post I'll give you some tips for choosing a gaming monitor, list and review my top ten gaming monitors for 2012, and give you a chance to vote for your favorite.

A local list like that with pricing and where to get them would be awesome.

I am in the market for a new screen but have no idea where to look and what to look for.

I've been looking at getting a new monitor, cash being a problem, it's a shame we don't really get Viewsonic in the country. I have been eyeing the LG D2342P-PN monitor for a while now. But I'll see what's available when I've saved up.

Are all 120Hz monitors more than R3k? I'd love to get one but they all seem really expensive, probably because of 3D compatibility

Nice article.

I love my Dell Ultrasharp although it's getting a bit old now so would definitely be interested in upgrading to an IPS display, so it's nice to know they are still pretty good for gaming. :)

I still believe that any monitor over 23" will start costing you in FPS games.

So WOW and Dota and strategy 27" go for it. but FPS id say less than 23"

for pc gaming, why would anyone buy a 16:9 monitor is just crazy, go for 16:10 its got more screen!!.... full HD marketing nonsense

I've had #9, the Samsung P2770FH for quite some time now, and I've got to say I absolutely love this monitor, awesome size / performance for games, movies, work, etc.

Although I would say for work purposes I would have preferred the 2560... res just to have more usable space, which I guess leads back into the whole 16:10 debate again as well...

If I should get a monitor again .. I would want to get 1 capable of producing a 120Hz refresh rate (or higher).
