Have you or would you ever give a lift to a Hitchhiker?

I have before, nothing bad has ever happened, but I can't help but be worried. Had a guy ask me for a lift at the petrol station last week, but I said no. Didn't want to take any chances with my future wife in the car with me.

I have. A couple of years ago. She was this pretty lady all on her own on the highway. I asked her how she could just hitchhike, that it's dangerous and all that. She said she doesn't like buses. I hope she's living a good life somewhere today.

Haha no, luckily not. I've heard of those though and man it would be awesome if that happened!

I'm normally on a bike, so definitely not. Mainly two reasons. First, that person would be WAAAYY to close to me for my liking and second, I don't carry a spare helmet. Even in a car though, not a chance. Simply too risky these days.

When I was young and dumb I used to hitch hike from Simonstown with a friend. We would take the train one way and hitch hike back. We would only ever go in the back of open buckies so easy to jump out. Things generally felt safer back in those days.

I won't ever pick up a hitchhiker. ever. It's just to risky. In fact the more decent they look, the more I'm inclined to think they are some sort of psycho.
