Nice:) It looks good!

I did a few planes and a helicopter quite a few years back. Wasn't impressed with my work, but I think the problem is that I didn't paint them.

My dad bought me a Titanic model for my birthday last year, took a while to finish, not sure exactly how many hours:R.M.S. Titanic Model.jpg

My wife bought me a Prince of Whales Battleship for my birthday this year. It's quite bigger than the Titanic (shown in previous picture), and technically more difficult. I haven't worked on it for a few months, I find the camouflage pattern quite challenging. I drew the pattern on the hull at least, have to mix the paint now before I can paint. I'll do that when I have more time, probably only in December.

Dude that's superb! Their are a plethora of videos on Soultube (youtube) that help with that. Have you started airbrushing at all? I'm busy with a Lockheed Stealth bomber as my first Airbrush and it look seriously sick compared to the hand painted stuff. I have also learned that prestic is really helpful while brushing to cover the glass bits up

When I was much younger I had a lot of model airplanes, mostly Airfix models. I was really proud of them, but unfortunately after moving we left them in a hot car for much too long and they all literally melted. :(

Had to throw away the whole lot. Never bothered building anything again after that.

Airfix are nice if your beggining, they have some intermediate stuff too. But your ittaleri, Academy and revell models are your good kits. I have found that the Tamiya stuff is just superb in quality and instruction.

The paints however are freaking expensive. R30 on average a colour here in Durbs.

I have never considered using airbrushing! I'm aware of the technique, but the thought of using it on my boats never occurred to me:eek:
I'll have to invest in an airbrush then:p

I frequently use sellotape to cover parts that doesn't need painting.
