Was working on my custom map for HoN. I can give a hero about 8 abillties, but I just can't seem to make them ALL show on the GUI. Very annoying...Sometimes I obsess over a minor problem, until it's fixed lol...

The addition of AI should make mapping a bit more interesting and heck maybe I won't be the only one mapping for it.

Also worked on an ending:

The only way to do that is to take away anonymity and VOIP. And to befriend people who don't mind loosing. It's been proven time and time again through reality shows that if you throw a bunch of random people together with a price in the end, there's gonna be drama. Add anonymity the mix, and people are less likely to hold back.

I'm excited about this update :) I've been saying to myself that they need to improve the map textures and the various buildings, etc. Nice to know some older models are getting a touch up too!
 
Really polished game, I'm still impressed with it, sure, the community sucks, but whatever.

Really excited to see what they do with 3.0, could be a game changer, HoN in my opinion is probably the most elbow greased release of any in the MOBA class.

Eh, the same can be said of just about any other MP game, yet for some reason HoN has one of the worst communities out there. No idea why the community is like that, but it put me off the game entirely.

Cod, counterstrike, DOTA2. All the top played games have equally bad communities. If they don't have bad communities, it probably means the playerbase is low. name one game with a friendly community which bypasses the 50k concurrent player mark?

So true... The whole worlds full of asses some games attract more than others. and thb some of the nice people that play the game change into assholes... Take for instances my one friend we were extremely close had a braai every saturday and frequent lan's to... Then he started playing CS:S and really he was a great guy. Once he got "pro" he became cocky and arrogant some much I decided fsuk this I don't need people like this in my life.
 
Ignoring the shit heads is usually the best way to go. If someone starts being aggressive and rude, just mute them and /ignore them. Problem solved, enjoy your game.
 
Just played a few games of DOTA2 and I could of swore, I got some Russian angry. Was pretty amusing.

Russians got separated from the Eu servers in HoN, so I guess that's basically the only difference between DOTA2 and HoN's community. In HoN people speak english...

I've been playing CS for years and it has always been said to have a terrible community, yet I've found the community to be a lot better than HoN. Same can be said of CoD. The community has some really bad people, yet I generally don't have issues.

It's not even that I'm complaining that HoN has bad apples in its community. Most games have bad apples. It comes with the territory. I'm complaining because HoN has one of the absolute worst communities out there. I've played the majority of MOBAs out there, and none come close to being as bad as HoN. The LoL community is far, faaaar bigger than HoN, yet it's much better.

I dunno. Maybe dickwads are just attracted to HoN? Maybe I just happened to frequently get put into games with total dickwads? One thing is sure, though. I'm not touching HoN again unless the other MOBAs die out entirely. Not even with the gloves I borrowed from a dragon trainer.

How would you classify your skill level in counterstrike. The people on top isn't the ones who get insulted, it's the ones who are mediocre and at the bottom. Like me...
