How big is Battlefield 4?

Hey guys.

I just won a Battlefield 4 Origin code on some forum (Teksyndicate. A generous member gifted it to whoever gave his rig the best name :D).

But with a 1mb/sec line, it's gonna be painful. How big is it?

Will downloading the iso file at UCT, and inputting an original code work?

I think it is 25 gigs +, not sure if the patches are downloaded separately.

Right now, with Battlefield 4 base game plus the new China Rising expansion, the game is just over 29GB.

yeah, Base game + CR exp is about 29Gb as mr Nuckle said.

Or grab the files from someone close to you if possible.

What I do is this, I have Origin installed on my work laptop and I use that to update BF4. At home I just copy everything to my home PC. If you get any issues where it wants to update even though you are on the latest ver, just delete everything "Battlefield 4" from your registry and let it discover the game again.

Two questions:

1. How do you have a 1 Meg line if the world was upgraded to more than that? (ISP limited?) Also, for some reason, I get battlefield downloads at 400k although I am on a 2 meg line.

2. What is your rig called? :)

So to be 200% sure :

1. I download Origin at UCT
2. Log in
3. Download the game on my account
4. Copy the files over to my home PC
5. Play?

I'll probably do the above on my friends laptop though.

I did the following:

1. Buy game
2. Initiate download (download for 5 minutes or so on pc (home) where you will play this)
3. Stop origin and exit
4. Copy files from another source to your newly created download location, overwriting the files
5. Start origin
6. Origin will check the download, and may download a few more files to get the game up to date / do the check / etc.

this works. I did this with BF3 and only had to download about 1gb
