I will always love the feel of a physical book and the enjoyment of browsing at Exclusive Books, Barnes and Noble and Borders book shops with the pleasure of a good cup of coffee.....but those days are gone now with us having two little boys who are not able to sit still for a minute.

hehe, I know what you mean....I've got one little monster (4 years in one month) and he is a handful. Going to the shops is a stressful event.... That's partly why I use the tablet, if I leave the bed lamp on, he sometimes wakes, sees the light and comes over. So reading with the tablet works, set the background to black and the text to white. Cant view books with pictures like that, but that's a minor.

I use physical books for studies, I still love my paperback and hardback books, but due to a space issue I use my nexus tablet and phone to read on for the most part. I use google play books to read with.

Apparently the proper plural form of "nexus" is... "nexus". :D

Probably the same idea as "data", which is already the plural form but often (if not mostly) used as the singular form. The correct word actually being "datum", of course.

I'll call them all factoids just to mess with people. Not the same thing sure but see if I care.

You're 100% right of course. ;)

I think it's more awesome, relaxing and comfortable to read books with a tablet. It's because it's much simpler to do that. Besides, it's much easier to buy new books with a tablet than buying it at the stores.

Yeah, I agree. I think all book lovers at first think reading on a non traditional method might feel weird or different. However, once you get going, and engrossed in a story, you don't really feel the difference.

Plus, the ability to carry around about as many books and magazines as able to get onto digital storage, and with those prices not too expensive, you can carry around a large amount of stuff.

I just cant read on my Galaxy S4, screen is a bit too small, 10.1 inch is perfect. Constant scrolling bugs me.

I make use of my 7" tablet using the Aldiko app. Find it very convenient and have found I read a lot more now since I got it! I usually prefer to still read with the light on using the day setting. The night setting (black background and white text) is alright, but I find it a little less comfortable on the eyes. I have never had any problems of eye strain however.

I first tested reading out on my phone and I must say the small screen size didnt bother me (I was surprised!), you get used to it very quickly. I do prefer the bigger screen though - think 7" is the perfect size for reading :) Light and comparable to an average book size.

I do a lot of reading off my PC but that it mostly work stuff. However, I prefer to hold paper. Somehow I find it easier to read especially if it comes to policy wording, legislation or longer documents.

For leisure, I still haven't found an electronic medium off which I feel comfortable. So here too I am more comfortable holding something physical :o

I have Kindle software as well as Aldiko on my tablet and phone. I do most of my reading on the tablet because it is the right size and the backlight allows me to read in bed while Mrs 44 is sleeping. I have a crap load of paper books that still needs to be read, but it's been about a year since I last used the dead-tree format.
