I was wondering how much interest your SOs show in the gaming that you do. My girlfriend will listen to me talking about the story of a game and she will say "Who writes this??" but that's as far as her interest goes. The most gaming she will do with me is try to do a lap on Forza. So what about you lot?

Mclyle_ my mrs is absolutely utterly entirely not interested in gaming 100%... Iv tried to get her to play a game or two but the only thing she sort of likes is a game where she can play as Wonder Woman, and the only game that has achieved that to date is Injustice, And the mrs played through the story with me...

Ahhhh so maybe I just haven't found the right game yet. Are there any games involving mermaids of any sorts? She loves that kinda thing.

I play competitively, so we have set practice days and so on. My wife never understood this, until about a year ago. Now she will watch games that we watch on Twitch when there are big tournaments and so on! =D

My Mrs accepts that I like to game, but she really has no interest in what I'm playing. She plays some mobile games here and there, like HayDay, but I have yet to get her to play an actual game...

At least she gets some use from the consoles by using them for streaming and as media players, and she's now using the xbox for this Daily Burn thing.

i am the SO who games more than my Fiancee....we had one day over the holidays where we played games the whole day without leaving the house and only stopped playing to eat brunch and dinner....

My wife likes certain genres but both her and my daughter seem to prefer to watch me play with plenty back seat driving from my daughter and my wife googling walkthroughs when she thinks I am not going fast enough for her liking.

For the most part my GF is the "Roll your eyes" type, other than a few select games.

She used to play the sims by herself and that's about it, other than that, the only game we have ever played together that she really enjoyed was little big planet, we finished 1 and 2 together, and we have done a bit of 3. I think she enjoyed it cause of the simplicity of the controls and the customization of your characters etc. It's really easy to pick up and play for someone who has never played console games before.

No real interested except for some dash games every now and then. She does support my gaming habits and would often get me a game from my wishlist or snacks for a gaming night so she can chill with a new book.

Mine actually pays a hell of a lot of attention.
She doesn't play as she gets board quick, however she is always willing to have a Tekken fight (But i refuse to play against a pro button masher with low kick super powers).

When I had my mate over for our wedding, she was ripping into him for all the phrases we use online.
I honestly never realized how much she pays attention. Last week when she and I went to fetch my Christmas present, anyways there was this guy behind the counter she was chatting to (They go to the same personal trainer), anyways I asked what was it about.

She told me he plays games and tried to tell her/ teach her about the gamer world.
Then she asked him do you play online. He replied nah he doesn't.

To which she replied "Too noob to be online?", "Are you too scared to get rekt?"
Really made my day that moment.

My wife plays SIMS 4, Don't Starve, Prison Architect and City Skylines religiously. Also loves the web based Forge of Empires. Before we got married she wasn't that crazy over gaming, but these games she enjoys it. Loves choice based games like Heavy Rain, The Walking Dead (finished both seasons herself with me watching lulz)

Beyond candy crush and the likes on her phone, zero, nada, zip. She did play Everquest when she was pregnant with our second one (and yes, I am an old timer).

I'm not in any sort of relationship at the moment, but after the last one, I definitely want someone I can game with... The last one wanted me to burn 3/4 of my games.

My missus has zero interest in my gaming hobby. Never has in the 20+ years we've been together. She will however Candy Crush and Bejewel the shit outta me.

I have much greater hope for my daughter on the other hand though (she's 15). We've been playing Rise of the Tomb Raider together recently. She also asked me to set up a Steam account for her last week because she wants to play The Evil Within (I didn't know she even knew what Steam was, never mind knew about Family Sharing!). She's also been my co-pilot/navigator/trade advisor on a number of Elite: Dangerous missions.

My kid rules!!

We tend to have weeks where we would play every day and then stop for a few weeks then continue again. She has no interest in games like HON and DOTA because according to her: "I like colors". She wants to play games with vibrant colors :/

Total hypocrite though as she finished COD: MW2 and Medal of Honor (both) in two days with no help from my side.

At the moment we're playing:

XBOX - Rayman Legends (She sends me messages whilst I'm on my way from work that the console is on and the coffee is ready)
- Tekken 5 (I guess she's a masochist...she likes to take a whipping :P )
PC - Mortal Kombat 9 (She's not that into X)
- Borderlands The Pre-sequel (We're almost done with Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode)
- Borderlands 2 (We're playing this with her nephew since he doesn't enjoy The Pre-sequel)
- Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare

We actually don't play that much now that we've moved into our own place but we make time to play every now and then.

That reminds me. When we first started playing Borderlands 2 she was still living with her parents. We were playing until 4 in the morning. I told her I was tired and we went to sleep. She woke me up at 7 and told that I need to help her because she can't finish the boss. And...my coffee is next to me :)

My wifey plays games but it's mostly hidden object games and adventure games. She has however surprised me in the past. For instance she has finished Alan Wake, all the Fable games, LA Noire and so forth. She despises first person shooters and at times it's very difficult to determine what she will like and what not. She tries out different games from my library though.

But yes, hidden object games are what she enjoys the most.

We'll "play" games together (i play, she commands from the bed), mostly horror games or the telltale games.

At one point we played alot of Don't Starve...but she seems to have no pacing. Will play a game till like 4am and then be over it, and refuse to want to play it again because she knows she'll get sucked in.

hehe...my lady has no self disciprine :D
