How to get Microsoft Live Gaming working in Windows? Cannot get uPnP to work...

Have installed uPnP Windows XP feature and started the service as per Microsoft documentation, router has uPnP enabled, yet when I run the Microsoft connection test it says uPnP is not available! Have also set Windows MTU registry value to 1400 (up from 1300).

Cannot therefore log in to my US GMail Microsoft Live gaming account in Street Fighter IV  Can however log in to Microsoft Live Gaming application outside the game.

Any ideas?

GFWL seems to hate it when the windows TCP/IP network stack is anything but in prestine condition, if its not, you won't be able to log in.

To Fix:
1. Make sure you write down your network adapter configuration settings.
2. Open the command line (start->run->cmd)
3. netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
4. Wait for it to complete then reboot.
5. Reconfigure your network adapter with the settings your wrote down in step 1.

That should get GFWL working.

Thanks so much. That did the trick. I didn't even both to restore my original settings, just left everything on defaults/auto-configure. :)

Now to find locals who play SF IV :p
