I would like to delete this thread but im not sure i can, please may a mod help me out thanks.

I'm sure by now most people know what you would have posted, seems dice has responded saying they might ban players who use it to gain early entry.

Best to delete the thread, mod anywhere?

Actually, just leave it here. To show people that there could be a chance for their accounts to get banned. Those that don't know anyway. Just wait a few more days people...We're all desperate to play this game, but it would be seriously stupid to get your account banned 2 days before release. For no reason.

DICE has drawn the line in the sand regarding PC gamers who are using VPN (Virtual Private Network) techniques to gain early access to Battlefield 3 through EA’s Origin.

For those using VPN techniques to gain early access to Battlefield 3. DICE has this to say. “We strongly advise you do not use VPN. You can compromise the security of your account.” When asked by some fans if it is indeed possible to have their accounts banned, DICE responded. “If your account is related in suspicious activity, quite possibly.” Daniel Matros weighs in as well saying that though “it isn’t illegal,” DICE highly advises “against doing it and [to] instead wait for the launch day of your territory.”

myBB admins running around here in bf3, don't you see that they arn't going to ban you, they are trying to get you to be to scared to do it. THe scale of people doing this is massive, especially on the EU scene. It would entail banning of thousands and thousands of players.. enjoy your wait.
 
I know some people who did this. it actually works, you dont have to use VPN, you can even use an international proxy and activate it.

Don't think there's anything DICE can really do unless they stipulate it in their Terms and Conditions, which I doubt!

As far as I understand it, they'll only ban an account if it has been compromised as a result of using VPN.
 
Just a few(loosely used) more hours then we'll all be happily playing BF3. Well... those whose systems can run at 30-60 fps anyway... :)
