Humble Origin Bundle drops 8 big EA games

stupid question..... do you get both the Steam keys and the origin keys for the games?

i know not all the games have steam keys but for the games that is on both platforms, do you get both keys?

can i give away my origin keys and keep the steam ones?

Yup, Origin is straining under the load. Imagine that, a lot of gamers logging in at once - they could never have expected this...

HAHA! Brilliant!

Something tells me they are trying to draw more users and show a bit of goodwill for PR's sake.

the last big publisher to have a Humble Bundle got split up and the pieces sold to the highest bidder... the biggest difference is THQ kept all the money, EA is giving it away.

so EA no longer wants to charge you for online portions of their games when you buy second hand games, and will in fact do away with the system even for older games, and now they are selling games for charity! they sure has changed their ways! what is the world coming to!?

I have no idea how many users have Origin installed at the moment. Could it be to get more people to adopt the platform?

I'm definitely going to get the bundle despite owning some of the games. I'm especially interested in getting DS3 for the coop and I've always wanted to try out MOH's campaign. For R50 that's not a bad deal. I'm also hoping that the Crysis 2 MP will be revived at least for a short while since I missed all that by not getting the game at release - it seemed fun from the demo I played.

I wonder why DS2 isn't on? Could be added later though.

They do this every now and then. First they show how terrible they are, then slowly start repairing their reputation, and then they go back to their old ways.

I think 2 years of being voted as the worst company is starting to hurt their ego's? :)

If I want to give one of the games away, do I only pass along the steam/origin key to the recipient? I'm a gifting virgin :o

I have Medal of Honor and Dead Space 1 and The Sims starterpack to giveaway.

Whomever pms me first with the game name of their choice will get one of the games - aka the one he/she requested in the pm.

This is fantastic.
You basically get two copies of the same game (for titles on steam and origin) :D

I don't think so, sorry. You have to press a button next to the game (on either the steam or origin tab) to get the code. If you press on steam side it will show as redeemed on origin.

So only one copy per game but for Dead Space 1, Burnout Paradise, Mirror's Edge, Medal of Honor and Crysis 2 you can choose if you want it on Steam or Origin.
For Dead Space 3, Sims 3 and Battlefield 3 you have to use Origin.
