Hyper tx3 Temps

Hey people

So im wondering anyone else around here using a I5 2400 with a hyper tx3 cooler?

If so what are your idle and load temps as well as your ambient room temp?

what's your rpm on load?

was playing TF2 last night my rpm was 2000+- and load 86% with a temp of 56c i think it was, maybe im just paranoid but it feels like this should run cooler, i have re applied my thermal paste at one stage just to be sure.

then again my idle temp is about 39-42c but the room im in isnt the coolest place as well.

Ive got similar concerns...
Recently had issues with Motherboard. Long Story short, I got the MB replaced, but lost the bottom bracket of the stock cooler.
Managed to grab a Ikonik Ra X10 Case (with built in Liquid Cooling). Got i7 950 installed.
After building the rig, my CPU is idling at around 42 degrees. After running a quick demo on 3DMark it went up to a max of 55-60degrees.

Same as you, maybe i'm just paranoid, but using watercooling, the CPU should be running alot cooler

As long as you dont hit the max Operating temp of the CPU, it should be ok.

You could always re-seat the heatsink, perhaps its not making contact. I always have that problem with Intels push pin Heatsinks.

Its got a lot to do with the chassis you're using and the fan setup you're using on the cooler.
If you're using a push pull config and you have decent airflow through the chassis then those temps are a bit high.
If you're using a single fan setup on a normal case then those temps are what you would expect to see.

I have a intake in front and a massive intake fan on the side panel two outtakes on top and top back that the cpu is blowing into so the chassis is well ventilated, in winter it ran great so maybe its just warm in the room. i reseated it with new paste the first time i saw the temps so ya. the pipes and radiator is not even hot so i wonder if its normal

mecer graphite http://www.resourcenow.co.za/Mecer-Graphite-Gaming-Computer-p/mecer-graph.htm quite impressed with it actually not bad at all just a little to shallow for bigger coolers because of the side fan

its just a push config

Not a bad looking case that.
Unfortunately I have never used one so can't comment on airflow.
If the temps really bug you, add another fan to the back of the cooler so you can run push pull, you'll def notice a temp drop.
That said we have been having some insanely hot days the last week or 2 so that may have added to the temp reading. Checky ou're temps again tonight, seeing as its a little cooler today.

I think i was just being paranoid ran prime 95 for about 10min the temp never went higher than 56c 2500rpm idles at 36c 980rpm
