I really love this game but want to puke thread

Does the screen size play a part in this?I have never felt ill from playing a game but I can imagine getting this if you cant see the TV's borders.

I surmise that the more immersed you are the more likely it is to fool your brain into thinking your tripping because your moving but my ears say i'm not,so not seeing borders would probably aid in the effect

This happens to me when I had a marathon session of any game. I once played through most of Doom 3 in a single day and had an interesting night's sleep.

I also get a similar effect when I am focused on something like work for the whole day. Commonly had it when I was working on the tills at Pick 'n Pay and it was the weekend after payday. I spent the whole day ringing items and when I took a nap when I got home I would dream I'm still working on the till. It was annoying as hell when it happened, since I didn't get much rest.

Same thing here but get it after playing most games, i.e Skyrim, Diablo, Modern Warfare, Battlefield, just to name a few...

I'm not actually complaining though... the levels I play during my sleep, are not available in the game... so in a way, I get to play more of the game than other people.
Always entertained... even while sleeping :)

This has to do with the Field Of View of the game. I believe there was a parameter you could change in the Half Life 2 console (tilde key) to change the FOV. I've had this problem with Minecraft as well, maybe there is some patch or parameter for the FOV you could change to remedy this? I agree. It gets especially exacerbated when you're stuck. Normally I just apply acupuncture on myself to alleviate the nausea it goes away in about 2 mins when I do this.
