University of the Free State vice-chancellor Professor Jonathan Jansen on Monday morning dismissed a report quoting him as saying he wished former president Nelson Mandela would die.

"I truly wish Madiba would live forever. I also wish some journalists would have more ethics before completely distorting a message," he tweeted on Monday morning.

What an asshole. To make Mandela live forever in his current state is tantamount to torture.

The man needs peace and not to be fantasized into immortality. He is already living on via his actions and who after him has filled that shoes? No one!

Its dangerous when a man becomes a god by the following who can't let him go.

I still vote this man for president

Sadly Africa and S/Africa is far from a decent president going by the current line of presidents after the man. We might for a while still have puppets running the show instead of real virtuous men.
