I would be a more hard-core gamer BUT

Its not always about what it looks like!
I mean, the campaign has more than enough length to it - although it's better suited to co-op.
I just wish they would fix the bugs and I HATE the currency system.
I'm about halfway into it now and there have been some good moments so far, just sucks that there is no save option.

Not even any save points so that you can try something differently.

...unpleasant online gaming these days
...lack of opportunity for competitive gaming in SA
...work, exercise, social life

If I had a faster internet connection, I would. Can't very well play online games (cept' some mmo's) on a 386kb shaped line.

Bottom line - when internet becomes affordable.

..i'm too busy writing about games :D?

Wouldn't that make it about as hard-core as it gets then? :p

People love pointing to the fact that because I blog about anime I'm on a level of fandom completely above those who just watch.

I'm still trying to figure out if it's a compliment or an insult - I'll get back to you guys on that one :D

I guess these days being "hard-core" is seen as being able to keep up with the best of the best in online or competitive gaming. Pity. Hard-core for me is just the absolute love and enjoyment of games. And well, being quite good at it certainly is necessary for hard-core status. But I know a few people who play a lot of games, and are excellent at them, and they just don't appreciate everything put into a good game. They skip the cut-scenes just to get on with it. To finish the game as fast as possible. Hard-core is a word that should be banned for gamers everywhere.

... I have a job, wife, semblance of a social life
These sort of things take up plenty of time that would otherwise go to gaming

But...studies, work, social life and finding time to get to it
internet speeds also get annoying when playing online but even just SP games, sometimes you get bored of them and come back to them later
