So guys that have setup i7 machine is there anything to look out for that you would not normally get?

Is water cooling a beach to set up or not really?

Not normally get?

Well, the only thing to be aware of is the requirement that the RAM be certified to operate at 1.65V. Any higher and you risk damaging the cpu. Also, with the RAM, if you get an X58 setup, you should be getting triple channel memory, but with the P55 i7 cpu, you should be getting dual channel memory.

WC is only a biatch to setup the first time. Once you know what you're doing, it's easy. Only downsides are that it's expensive, and that if it leaks, you're going to end up with an expensive paperweight. But thats why you leak test first...

Yeah did not know how to phrase that sentence so stopped halfway.

Okay tnx man will check into the leak test before I attempt it.

Just remember that X58 chipsets will be able to handle the new 6core CPU's via a BIOS update. All of the older motherboards such as the P55 chipsets will NOT be compatible with Intel's new CPU's - so by going cheaper, you're shooting yourself in the foot.

Not to be pedantic, but the X58 motherboards are actually the older of the two. P55 is the more recently released chipset ;)

And you're not necessarily shooting yourself in the foot, since I suspect that in the next year or so Intel will bring out 6 core cpus for the LGA1156 socket.
