id Software says RAGE players should grab the latest AMD drivers “immediately”

I watched a video of Rage gameplay on youtube yesterday, was like 2 hours old, the guy was using a 6950, playing at 1080p, no AA, full settings. It laaaaaaaaaaaaagged and texture popping was INSANE. So hopefully those latest drivers will sort that out.

I'm still not sure whether I'm getting this game or not...
My budget took a sudden and unexpected knockback, so I'm in that carriage where I can only get a max of 2 games until the end of the year.

Kinda holding my breath for the good Steam specials, I guess.

Ontopic though: I'm not sure this all is such a good thing. I can already see the games industry moving towards different and separate video drivers for each particular game. Not a good thing imo.
