For me it should be more akin to WOW.

White, Green, blue guns with random stats with Purple + Orange with set/known stats but farmable.

As for modifying guns: You should be able to add gun mod's (Made by players) to any gun, in the way WOW handle enchantments to change certain stats:
Sniper make mods for accuracy & range
Soldier make mods for fire speed & magazine size
Grunt make mods for damage range/area & bullet damage
Siren make mods for elemental effects & effect damage

Can only add 1 mod to white, 2 to blue and purple and 3 mods to Orange and pearl....

I think you get the idea?

Perhaps even a remake of Witcher 1 on the Red Engine.

Also wouldn't mind HD remakes of the old Sierra games (Police Quest, Space Quest, Larry)... Just to experience them again.
 
Dragon age: Bound by blood. (aka origin 2)

All the goodness and depth of origin, but add in the goodness of open world, radiant NPC and events (copyright oblivion/skyrim).
Proper isometric with switchable 3rd person view for eye candy animation - for when your party decapitates the enemy :D
Choice system like telltale's walking dead. Timed and doesn't give icons to tell you which choice is "good" or "evil".

Non of this Dragon age 2 and 3 simplified BS.

DS2 was sweet, only thing was that the party AI was dumb as a rock.
Baldur's gate "combine your own script" had better party control :p

I don't even know what DS3 is suppose to be, besides bad.
The series either needs a good reboot or just stay dead. :(
 
Remakes:
Older games from C&C series on C&C 3 engine.
Newer games from C&C series on Red Alert 1 engine (or RA2).
Just for fun.

New one:
Something similar to minecraft but less cubic. It has player built car/ships/planes/motherships (actually can travel by it and player must put different components to achieve desired armor/health/speed), different tech trees, interplanetary/dimensional travel. Player still have to go down in caves of different worlds to get tech/resources for above structures.

That would rock, also im just thinking maybe a final fantasy 7-2 that follows the events after the move that was released might be good
