Im stupmed. Need some help with a newly built pc.

Cheapy electrical cords dont have a proper earth and i hope its not the actual wall mount that has a shady earth.

The best way to test this is to move your pc and plug in directly into a wall socket . IF it goes away its the extension cord or multi plug . If not it could be the wall socket.

Ive been trying to find out what the cause of this issue is and so far I've come to the conclusion that its not my psu or the power cord for my pc. could it be the power cord of my monitor? because when I unplug the vga connector from my gpu the electricity is gone, even when im grounded. should I replace the power cable to my monitor or do I need a new monitor?

First try all the basics like the cables. You don't want to go buy a new monitor only to realise it was the cable...

it might be the monitor power port on your pc...
maybe only when the screen is plugged in does your port create this "extra electricity"

I doubt the wiring in the pc is the problem.

Is youre pc plugged directly into the wall socket?
or into extension lead?
or multiplug?

Is the wall socket a red "dedicated" type?
or normal household 16A clipsal plastic?
or old school metal plate type?

I'm a sparky by trade, I suspect youre outlet itself might be damaged, thats why when it takes load (adding screen) it starts running through.

Its been a while and still using my pc with this little issue. No damage has been done as long as i dont touch my case lol. But yeah its plugged in to an extension cord, a normal household one. Could it be possible that i'm overloading the wall socket. because i have alot of things plugged into this extension cord and its all running through one wall socket? If i plug my pc straight into the wall I dont feel the electricity at all.

Check youre plug on the lead, you may have lost earth on it. If you put the earth back and the power trips, you have a faulty applian e on that line that is giving feedback
