Facebook design fail?
Facebook design2.JPG

Green = Relevant stuff what you'd expect if you want to look at facebook posts
Yellow = Kinda makes sense, but very bad use of space
Red = Completely and utter waste of space

Don't they have the budget to design a proper layout to give relevant info... like, say what is posted on your news feed? (1 post, btw)

Finally got my hands on one of these:

I don't have much experience in UI, but I doubt FB was stingy on their UI, they have been perfecting it for years. Important stuff is in the the middle, the reason you go on FB, ads also go there, other ads go on the side, a bit less intrusive, the rest is all stuff you only look for when you need it, therefore doesn't need to be the center of attention.

Maybe you are looking at it wrong? Remember Facebook is primarily a platform to sell advertising.

I'm guessing that they made their success and don't really care about how practical the UI is.
But if I click on news feed.. to only see one post is quite bad.
Either way, I was just curious if anyone else notices the very badly layed out design.. there's little to nothing we can do about it anyhow.
