The rain spiders (huntsmen) here get seriously big too...entirely harmless though. Named the last one tiger because of stripes...unfortunately they gtfo after a week or so. Thought I had a pet that didn't need feeding/attention there...

That looks like a huntsmen in that pic. The ones in my house normally only have 6 or 5 legs when on the walls. Mostly with a cat right underneath it waiting for round 2.
