There is alot of rampant speculation running around. Apparently the internet has, as one can expect, erupted in a ball of hate filled Nerd Rage over this picture. There is a rumour that this is the actual police uniform rather than the Robot armour. IMO, like with any remake, id rather accept it on its own merits than flame if for not being the original. If I wanted to watch the original I would buy it on DVD and watch it. What people thought would looked like a robot from the future in the 80s and what we think a robot from the future would look like is alot different.
 
fair enough, but they should stay true to some of the original concept

people can flame all they want, I prefer the "let's see what happens" approach :p

He's a cop that gets killed and turned into a cyborg. there are the original concepts, now run with it.
 
I've been checking out a few sites, and it seems like there are quite a few remakes in hollywood's foreseeable future...

Nostalgia sells as good as Sex. Why come up with fresh ideas when rehashing old stuff will draw the crowds. Same reason we keep getting sequels and remakes in the games industry. Its Safe.
