Religion and race are two different matters entirely. The former you can choose to believe in, whereas the latter is something that you are born into (funnily enough, you, as well as millions of others, were probably born into your current religion). Posting jokes, pictures and comments about religion merely takes you out of your comfort zone, causing you take a good look at what you really believe in. Doing the same to race doesn't cause you to "look at yourself", because it's something that you can't change. Thus, attacking someones race is fucking stupid.

My attack against the racist comment wasn't only because it was racist. If you actually read what I said, you will notice that I sarcastically implied that his comment was childish and unnecessary.

Now, in your post, you implied that I'm being hypocritical to attack racist views, but I exhibit anti-religious views myself. I'm not being hypocritical, seeing how my posts are relevant to the theme of the thread, whereas his was redundant.

Do you have any more half-baked arguments to add? Because as it stands, you're just pissed that I don't share your religious views, which is hypocritical in itself: as a religious person, you're meant to reflect the teachings of your "holy" book and tolerate opposing views. Because, y'know, YOU OBVIOUSLY BELIEVE THE TRUTH.

bigotry == bigotry

If you're gonna TL;DR my post, and for some reason feel compelled to respond to it, at least make the effort to construct a minimum of one sentence.

I actually think my summation was sufficient, but here goes:

Bigotry is bigotry, whether the subject is race, religion, creed or other, and trying to defend religious bigotry while attacking racist bigotry is quite hypocritical, IMO. How's that for a sentence?

Can bigotry against somebody's race be justified? I believe no, and I assume you agree on that.
Can bigotry against somebody's religion be justified? I believe yes, and I assume you disagree.
Just read my lengthy post that you originally quoted and you'd see why.

I'm sure everybody will be glad when this thread is bereft of argument, so let's leave it here, before it digresses even more. Nobody here needs to justify why they believe what they believe, so let's return to what this really is about.

And we all know what this thread really is about. Cute kittens in cups:

Racist jokes, religious jokes, fat jokes. It doesn't fucking matter! If you get offended by it, than the person who made the joke is winning.

That is really well done and just awesome. Wish I had the ability and skills to do that. But taking it to a LAN could be a bitch.
