In what universe?...

What gaming universe, in your opinion, is your favourite? AND follow up with why is it your favourite?
It could be because of the immersion, the lore, the vibrance, the sheer scope of the universe or perhaps it's your ideal utopia..
Would you want to inhabit this universe?

If I had to choose my favourite universe.. Hm, kinda tough but I'd go with...

Pokemon.. because POKEMON! and I love animals :p Also seems very friendly and not as bleak as other more mature universes tend to be. People are super friendly and give you free stuff! What more could you ask for??

While being in this universe are you going to be doing the same stuff as you always do or are you going to be in the position of some type of protagonist?
Or perhaps you have to pick some normal "job" iI think that could sway the choice greatly.

The latter two I guess? :p

If I was me living in the universe it would be Skyrim or any other fantasy themed universe, but if I was the main character it would be either The Witcher universe or the Deus Ex Human Revolution universe.

I think most people are going to mention RPG's as they tend to spend the most time explaining and expanding on the world they created. For that reason I'm going to say that The Elder Scrolls games probably have to best overall universe. It amazing how much details are placed into this game, and if you take some time to read some of the multiple books in game you'll see just how incredible the world is.

The walking dead, the idea of a zombie apocalypse is something I tend to daydream about a lot!

Oh and the Telltale one not the shameless cash in one. . .

I reckon my favourite would probably be from the Monkey Island franchise.
I love the lore (persê) of this game, the swashbuckling heartiness, the lingo, the humour, the graphic style, EVERYTHING.

Ever since I owned and played this game on 286 I fell in love with it, I still own and play it to this day, though thank goodness for the HD update :p

I have been giving this some thought....maybe a little too much, but most of these worlds are horribly depressing wastelands,I think the world of final fantasy 10 would be nice to live in.

Each has it's own pros and cons

Elder Scrolls - Pros include magic and expansive lore, cons include getting attacked by bloody skeletons
Mass Effect - Pros include interstellar travel and advanced medicine, cons include reaper attacks, Thresher Maws and Rachni
Fallout - Pros include Nuka Cola, cons Radiation

So for me it has to be the Star Wars universe...

My first major PC experience was with Quake 1. I know the game have been labeled as too dull with only shades of brown and green. But I love it, I love the whole dark, mid-evil, the Lovecraft feel. (It's not suppose to be a bloody rave party.) The weird and wide range of enemies. From the normal knight, to the lightning throwing shambler. Those spawn still freaks me out when I hear them jumping up ahead somewhere. Or the ogre growling up ahead somewhere, ready to chuck baskets of grenades at you. And damn those shrill sounding vore's!! They remind me of the Quake 2 Iron Madain.....just better looking :)

Other honorable mentions that I have wasted many a hours, Doom, Fallout and Elder Scrolls. They are awesome (obviously not Doom though) for hours of exploring. At times I will just choose a random direction and march of to find adventure and something to blunt my sword on.... "whistling:

What I would loooooove to have is a awesome Star Trek FPS game series. Last one I enjoyed was Star Trek: Voyager – Elite Force. Luckily Mass Effect is there to full the void somewhat.

I would like to live in remember me's Neo paris. Odds are I'm not gonna be some space soldier like mass effect or something. So I'm gonna opt for a safe option if I'm just switching universes.

However if I get to choose my working status I would love to be in assassins creed as an assassin during the American Revolution or even during world war 2 where I get to infiltrate a German unit and assassinate german military leaders etc.

The world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:

Radiation is a major factor.
Medication is a factor.
Basic survival necessities are a factor.
Mutants are practically everywhere.
Your best and only real friend and ally is your weapon.
Everyone is out to kill you, unless befriended.

Basically -- a world gone to shit. And your everyday survival is a maybe or a probability.
