Played it! It Pwned hard! The art is fantastic (looks a lot like the painted environment of Braid). Gameplay is fun. Controls a bit strange on PC but can be configured to your style. Weapon system is awesome. Combat is challenging enough without being absurd. All in all very nice game! Do purchase!

I see that the review is for the 360 version. However I had a look now and can't seem to find it. Which can only mean that it's another Arcade game that isn't available in South Africa. Sad. :(

Yeah - controls on PC a little Iffy... e.g. the path you're walking along is heading down/right (south east), but if you press the down and right key simulteanously, you actually don't follow the path - you'll be slightly off. Rather annoying because you'll fall off.

Otherwise, nice game. Just not sure if it has enough variety to keep me playing to the end (guess I'm about half way now and a little bored).

I just wanted to say hands down this is one of the most spectacular and beautiful games I have ever played. The graphics, sound track and storeyline are soooo amazing. Sure the directional controls can be a tad iffy, but the game is challenging and fun...and like I said Beautiful.

*me casts necrophilia*

damnit, sorry, thats for tonight... :o "whistling:

*me casts resurrection* :D

With the hype around Transistor, I saw the same dev group released Bastion (I always like to look up a dev groups history and whatnot, saw they had an earlier game.)

Not sure when, but I think I got Bastion in a humble sale somewhere, so I installed it and thought I'd give it a try. I suck at these kinds of games, so I think thats why I forgot about it. I am kinda bored of my normal games these days, so thats why Transistor piqued my interest and seeing that I al ready owned Bastion, I wanted to give it a try.
Damn, spend a few hours on it yesterday, what a great game! My little son sat on my lap, and it was great to have a game thats not all guts and gore that I can play with him present.

I bought Transistor over the weeking during the Halloween sale, will get into it when I'm done with Bastion.

Love the narrartor.

EDIT: I agree on the controls, thats my main reason for not liking platform type games, I've got 2 left thumbs...but I'm getting used to it, at least you dont lose a whole life.

The time I spent on Bastion was some of my best gaming time in recent years. I absolutely loved it. I sucked at it, until I got a Logitech F710 controller. The game is meant to be played with an XBOX (or compatible) controller.
