Well.....thats a waste IMHO
Quick one guys :
If I install my games to my xbox HHD do I still need the game in the drive for it to work?
Yes, but the drive won't spin. The disc is only used to check that you own the game. All files are then run from the HDD. Load times are better, and there is no noise from the optical drive spining.
See http://www.examiner.com/x-544-Games-Examiner~y2009m9d16-Best-games-to-install-on-Xbox-360-hard-driveWhat games work optimally from the hard rive?
I haven't tried that approach, but I don't think so. As soon as the tray opens the game will close and you'll end up back on the dashboard.so..... if start the game in the drive I can take it out after its loaded?

There's obviously stuff that the chipping is modifying that affects the regular behavior of the console. That's really dodgy stuff tho.If thats the case then how does the pirates install games on the HHD on chipped xbox's?
That's a good point, even if installing to HDD does nothing to improve load times, the silence is to be appreciatedI can't stand the sound of the drive spinning so I always install my games.
So if I understand this correctly..you only use it for games downloaded of Live,to save games and to lesten noise ?
lol...yeah well it can be installed to a memory unit aswell....
