Intel Core i5 vs AMD Ryzen 5 - Pricing and specifications

According to Reddit user Siebevp, the R5 1400 can easily hit 4Ghz with some slight volt mods and better cooling.

The 1600 is the clear choice in my opinion, provided you overclock it a bit. But any of the non-X Ryzen chips seem to be extremely good value if you can get them to that 4Ghz sweet spot with fast enough memory.
