Intel cuts CPU prices

HEAhea, with Core 2 Duo prices standing as they are. There is no reason not to get one :)

But saying that, i was a big AMD fan for many years starting with a XP2800 and eventually ending up with a AMD X2 6000+.
Bring out something with the right performance/price. And anyone will buy your product.

That being said, they make great GFX cards though :)

 Good pricing and performance can't be mentioned in the same sentence as Intel:p

No doubt Intel produces the fastest cpu's blah blah but they are by no means cheap or even well priced.

lol, good point.
For argument's sake, let's take an Intel E7500 as an example. What in that price range atm does AMD have to compete?

Mmmm 130Mhz faster than a E7400 at around R1300...
I'd say go for AMD Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition which is around R750 or go for a Tri-core AMD Phenom 8650 which is just over R800.

interesting :) i'm so out of AMD cpu's nowadays to be honest :/
what AMD rig u have atm? and what about the PhenomX3 8750 BE? :)

I sold my rig..lol just waiting for my mate to take it.
Running a Phenom x4 9950 Asus mobo, 2x 2gig matched pair Corsair DDRII 800 ram, 4850 1gig and blah blah.

I'm upgrading next week to a Q9400 Quad Core, and 4 Gig Set of Corsair Dominator Ram :)

Upgrading from E6750 and 2 GIG OCZ
