There will be but probably at a later date. I assume they will also be making Pentiums too.

i3, i5, i7, Pentium, and Celeron - that's all just branding. Make sure you know hat's really under the hood when you upgrade

Totally new socket type. If you're on the Core 2 chips still, it's a good choice. Its not really an upgrade from Ivy because it's too small a percentage increase to justify it for gamers and power users. Enthusiasts and overclockers might see value in it, though. Nehalem users should look into it at the least, if only for power consumption numbers and lower system temperatures.
